hi there!
i am now officially about 4 days from being in the home stretch – the 3rd trimester. lucky me i am at my MOST pregnant when japan is at it’s hottest/stickiest!
dr’s monday for a checkup where all was said to be a-okay. while checking the ultrasound he says, “i think that’s the face there – can you see it?”
“uh, no”
“hold on” – he switches wands and with a click of a button i can see our baby’s face!! it was amazing…
hiding behind hand (scary blob is the placenta)
so there she is – not exactly cute but wonderful. isseki’s first response was that she had a foreigner’s nose and looked exactly like me. my japanese co-workers all said it looked like a foreign baby. i say – who knows at this point!
now i’m off to put my feet up as the swelling doesn’t stop with the heat as it is…love!
Thanks for the pics…..I don’t know if lthe baby looks like a halfie yet… I agree with you, who knows at this point!!! Can’t wait to see the first pics when she joins us in this world x
I think she looks beautiful.
thank you anoush & a. heidi!! glad to share the joy! xoxo

You know, I might be starting to wonder if the no AC rule will last, even though I am going to keep going……….. flipping heck its hot today!!!!!!!!
Half half babies are the cutest and coolest in the world!!! My english friend and her japanese husband had a ‘janglish’ girl who is just perfect! Whats American and Japanese? Japaerican? Amernese?
Anyway, have a nice Sunday.
with love and light, as always
Hi.Just popped over from MIJ.Congratulations on passing your driving test first time(!) and, more importantly,on your pregnancy! I am about a month as far as I can work out ahead of you and expecting DD2 in mid-September.I hear you on the heat! Hell, isn’t it!I also have the feet swelling problem but not suprising as its mid-summer! And well done on already picking out the name for your DD….we are still up in the air.DD1 was so easy …
Wow, absolutely amazing. She’s gorgeous. Keep smiling. You are a lucky woman. Much love and thoughts always coming your way from Asheville, NC. Much love,
