wanna see our new place?

Happy belated Valentine’s Day to all! We’re moved – pics here!

You all should’ve gotten my new mailing address (btw WeLuv should be WeLv – oops. though I thought the former is cuter) and home phone details by now. Still not completely unpacked – we have to buy some furniture pieces first – but almost. The apartment is awesome. We’re so lucky!! I posted the floor plan previously but there are 5 rooms (plus toilet/shower): kitchen, living/dining, Japanese room (washitsu), and 2 bedrooms. I guess my sister is right – we should start making babies? Hehe. No, isseki will use one room for music only – so we basically we just have a little more space for the other stuff. We’re using the washitsu for our bedroom as it gets good light and the other room is kinda small for our giant bed. So the other bedroom is now the office/guest room. And I’m buying a digital piano! Yes, I wanna learn an instrument and never seemed to get far with guitar so am going to try this…plus we found someone selling a used one for a great price. That will go in the last bedroom too.

Kitchen – yes, that IS an OVEN!! I’m SO SO SO excited!

Toilet (sweet! oh how i missed my heated toilet seat in Tokorozawa this winter – but not anymore! We got the captain’s chair – the ultra bide! No kidding – it even has a blow-dry option!! Fun for hours!):

And the view – out to the big city of Kobe – well, not so big compared to Tokyo or Osaka but big compared to most places I’ve lived in the states!

Looking at the little park below with the crazy “spend money to build something useless” thing that I still can’t figure what it is – looks like a runway to me but there is a fence at the end!

This weekend was a crazy mess struggling to get moved and meet the Monday deadline for my first FEW newsletter and since I just got internet back about 24 hours prior to deadline and couldn’t even find the box of printing paper to print and proof it – there were some mistakes. Thankfully not all of them I could have even possibly caught (because I wasn’t privy to the information); however, I am still a bit miffed that I didn’t plan better and do a better job of it. I’ll be doing it all year so there’s plenty of time to make it up! Thankfully I got a lot of nice feedback about the new format (I changed it from a Word doc to a PDF file) so I’m trying not to take the other mistakes that were pointed out so personally. It’s been a lot of work though, the board meeting 2 days before the move, doing the minutes for that, then not having the internet for a few days so I only could look at a lot of submissions a day before the deadline. Then cleaning up the mess after of responses from different people re: mistakes or not being used to the new format. Whew.

Note it’s probably easier on the wallet for most international calling cards to call a home phone rather than a cell phone – so use that new Home Number!! If you have a computer – use Skype or Google Talk (let me know if you want me to send you an invitation)!! Computer< ->is free for both and with Skype you can call to regular phones for cheaper than most calling cards. No excuse not to call me in this day and age! 

Until next time…♪★♪
