a burnt finger!!

pretty gross. no – i really don’t mind trying to cook new things – i’m just too clumsy. last night i was going to be sweet and make fried chicken for isseki but ended up making him mad at me for hurting myself! foiled again!

lately life has consisted of note card creation, writing, and mailing. and i’m still years away from finishing! the japanese ones are next and that will take the longest.

also recieved our professional wedding photos which are gorgeous! well, mostly – then there is this one showing just how daunting marriage can be! eeek.

i am trying to send out pics that people might want to them but if you want the whole shabang for some odd reason – let me know and i’ll send a CD.

started my first ever language exchange last week. around the block from our house is a very cool thrift shop, Orange Thrifty, and the gals who work there are always super sweet to us – no doubt due to the fact that isseki is their most valued shopper. anyway- the other day one of them seriously asked me to give her english lessons (most people you meet say they want you to teach them english but don’t really want to pay or make a schedule 😉 )- i didn’t mind but since i don’t really want to teach more than i am and am trying to learn japanese myself – i just suggested an exchange. we met for the first time planning on about an hour (30 english/30 japanese) meeting and ended up chatting for 4 hours!! nuts right? anyway – she’s super cool and we are meeting a couple times a week now because she’s inbetween jobs but hopefully she’ll be able to find a good one soon that will still allow us time to meet!

also joined the Japanese version of Friendster in hopes of using japanese there. well, re-joined. i was a member then quit cause it took me so long to do anything on it and i got frustrated and thought it a waste of time. hopefully i’ll get around to writing a diary there too someday – but sometimes it’s tough to find time for one diary!! i hope some of you actually read and enjoy this!! 🙂
